Welcome to Glenorchy War Memorial Pool

Our aquatic facilities operate between 1 October to 31 March for the Glenorchy community and surrounds, offering a welcoming space for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the warmer months. For over 60 years, our pool has been an iconic fixture of Glenorchy, with stunning views of Mount Wellington to the west and Mount Direction to the east.

Our facility has recently undergone a significant redevelopment to better meet the needs of our community. The 50-metre outdoor pool now features a gradual ramp entry with handrails and is heated to a comfortable 26-28°C.

Additional upgrades include new change rooms, an improved grandstand, and a refurbished reception area. Together, these enhancements ensure that Glenorchy War Memorial Pool continues to be a cornerstone of the Glenorchy community.

Our centre provides a range of amenities for the whole family to enjoy: our outdoor 50m pool, a shaded seating area, splash zones for kids, lap swimming lanes, accessible entry points, an on-site kiosk for snacks and drinks, BBQ or picnic spaces, and convenient change rooms and showers.
